and there is a whole lot of peace here when i just
let things be and
let us live.
so this week we threw schedules to the wind and
learned,
loved.
and i am breathing easy,
freely now...
we celebrated my boy's ninth birthday with
gluten free brownies and lots of
legos.
we went from a day of sunshine and outdoor playing,
temperatures in the 70's to
a day of 40's and snuggling by the fire.
rode bikes in only a diaper and jacket {okay, that was just pearl}
we wrote stories, books and letters.
took walks by moonlight,
watched birds fly and movies at night,
made decisions that brought liberation,
laughed.
oh yes, we laughed.
i think we will keep this freedom,
continue in these ways of cultivating peace.
we will keep laughing.
how was your week? did you laugh much?
I am fairly unscheduled, too. The girls do go down for naptime and bedtime at approximately the same times every day...if we are home. If something happens that we are not, I don't sweat it. We don't have anything that we HAVE to do at the same times every week except get my oldest off the bus...and ballet class...choir practice (EO week)...church. But I've given up teaching Sunday school, for now, so that's taken some pressure off. I appreciate the scheduling of others and how that makes them feel happier and more relaxed, but it has the opposite effect on me.
ReplyDeleteI love unscheduled living! I am just loving every free day. They are such a gift. AND WHY IS PEARL SO GROWN UP!!!?!?!? :)
ReplyDeleteI. Know. Believe me.
